During the Art of Solidarity event, organized on the occasion of the Day of Resistance to the Occupation of Crimea by the Mission and PEN Ukraine, well-known Ukrainian writers, journalists, singers and activists read out letters from political prisoners held in Crimea or deported to the territory of the Russian Federation by the occupiers.
For a year now, Bohdan Ziza has been illegally imprisoned for a protest he held on the night of May 16, 2022. The Mission publishes a video of his letter being read. Nariman Aliyev, a Ukrainian film director and screenwriter, became Bohdan’s voice.
Please join our initiative “Letters to a Free Crimea” – write a letter to Bohdan and other political prisoners. They need us to know about them, remember them and fight for their freedom.
