Ukrainian political prisoner Oleksandr Steshenko has been released

The Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the AR of Crimea Anton Korynevych met with the released political prisoner of the Kremlin from Kharkiv Oleksandr Steshenko, who was detained in April 2018 by the occupying authorities of Crimea. He was sentenced illegally to two years of imprisonment for allegedly burning down the house of the Crimean mufti Emirali Ablaev.

Anton Korynevych expressed the hope, that law enforcement bodies of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea will make an appropriate legal assessment of the human rights violations and military crimes, committed by the occupying authorities in the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea.

The educational centers “Crimea is Ukraine” of the Kherson State University, the Kherson National Technical University, the Kherson State Agrarian University, the Kherson State Maritime Academy, Kherson branch of the National Shipbuilding University, named after Admiral Nakhimov are open from 03 June until 27 September.

The youth from Crimea are reminded, the “diplomas” and other “educational certificates”, issued on the temporarily occupied territory of AR of Crimea are not recognized and they are considered illegal by Ukraine and other countries of the world.

Anton Korynevych met with Klement, Archbishop of the Crimean Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church

On 22 July 2019 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Anton Korynevych held a working meeting with the Archbishop of the Crimean Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Klyment.

During the meeting, Anton Korynevych and Archbishop Klyment discussed the situation of the only Cathedral of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the temporarily occupied Crimea “Anton Korynevych met with Klement, Archbishop of the Crimean Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church”


Anton Korynevych visited the human settlements of Kherson region, adjacent to Crimea

On 19 -20 July 2019 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Anton Korynevych together with the Head of Kherson State Administration Yuriy Gusev went to the checkpoints “Chongar” and “Kalanchak” including the relevant locations of Kherson region, adjacent to the administrative boundary line with the TOT of AR of Crimea, particularly the city of Henitchesk, villages of Strelkove and Chongar “Anton Korynevych visited the human settlements of Kherson region, adjacent to Crimea”


Meeting with the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union

On 18 2019 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Anton Korynevych met with the officials of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union (UHHRU).

This meeting helped to define the ways for  cooperation between the Mission and the UHHRU regarding the implementation of the transitional justice mechanisms for protecting human rights in overcoming the consequences of the occupation of the Crimean peninsula.


The Permanent Representative met with the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs

On 18 July 2019 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Anton Korynevych met with the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Bozhko .

The higher officials discussed  the concept policy for the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol City and funding for the defense of Ukrainian political prisoners signiificantly


Meeting with the Consul General of the Hellenic Republic in Odesa

On 17 July 2019 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Anton Korynevych met with the Consul General of the Hellenic Republic in Odesa Alexious Marios Liberopulus under his two-day visit to Kherson.

Welcoming the delegation, Anton Korynevych commended Greece for its consistent support of  sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and expressed his gratitude for understanding of the Greek side in overcoming the consequences of the Russian aggression and interaction at the international level. “Meeting with the Consul General of the Hellenic Republic in Odesa”


The Permanent Representative met with the Prosecutor of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea

On 16 July 2019 the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Anton Korynevych met with the Prosecutor of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Hiunduz Mamedov.
The officials discussed the issues of the mutual partnership and appropriate response to violation of human rights in the TOT of the AR of Crimea, particularly to the crimes committed by the occupying authorities including military crimes and crimes against humanity. Anton Korynevych met with the non – governmental organizations

On 15 July 2019, the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Anton Korynevych held a working meeting with the representatives of 17 non – governmental organizations (the NGOs) in Kyiv.
