Traditionally on the 22nd day of January the Ukrainians celebrate a landmark event in the history of the Ukrainian state. On this day in year 1919 at Sophia Square in Kyiv the Ukrainians proclaimed a union with other part of indivisible Ukraine that had been separated for centuries.
No less important and significant events proceeded to adoption of the Universal (act) of Directory of the Ukrainian People’s Republic.
The Ukrainian Central Rada proclaimed the establishment of self-sustained, dependent, free and sovereign state on the 09th day of January, 1918, and approved the Constitution of the Ukrainian People’s Republic on 29th day of April, 1918.
