On 7 December 2018 the officials of the Mission participated in the thematic parliamentary events, devoted to 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The Chief Consultant of the Department of International Connections of the Mission Valeria Pakhomova reported on the numerous human rights violations in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The senior official highlighted the position of the Mission regarding the amendments needed to the Law of Ukraine “On Creation of the Free Economic Zone “Crimea” and on Peculiarities of Exercising Economic Activity in the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine” in order to block and prevent effectively the illicit trade and economic activity of the state – aggressor in the occupied peninsula.
