In addition to issues relating to the violation of human rights, the problems of the militarization of Crimea, the gradual colonization of the peninsula and the replacement of the population, the meeting covered the observance of the rights of children and the crimes of the Russian Federation involving children in paramilitary formations; unlawful recruitment into the Russian army; the question of harm to the environment, incitement against the Ukrainian Church; violation of the rights of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people.
An important component of the meeting was also the sanctions regime, the preservation of the vector of the expansion of sanctions by Ukraine’s partners, and the consistent policy of non-recognition established by the United Nations General Assembly resolution of March 2014. A special attention paid to new challenges related to the restriction of citizens’ right to freedom of movement by the occupying «bodies».
Moldova is a permanent partner of Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression, because it has its own experience and knows what it is to fight for the liberation of territories from the occupier, to face internal displacement and so on. The exchange of experience with other countries and cooperation in supporting links with the temporarily occupied territories is a constituent part of the State’s policy of countering the negative consequences of armed aggression.
