“Indigenous Peoples of Ukraine and protection of their rights” was the topic for round table discussion, held in Kherson to commemorate the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples

The round table, organized at the initiative of the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the AR of Crimea and Kherson regional state administration brought together the regional leadership, representatives of public authorities, civic organizations, indigenous participants and national minorities ““Indigenous Peoples of Ukraine and protection of their rights” was the topic for round table discussion, held in Kherson to commemorate the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples”




Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with representatives of the Crimean Tatar people

On August 9, the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with the representatives of the Crimean Tatar people.

The meeting took place at a joint initiative of the parties and was aimed at deepening the cooperation of the President’s Office, the President’s representation in Crimea and the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, and coordination of efforts with a view to de-occupy the peninsula and reintegrate it “Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with representatives of the Crimean Tatar people”



Together, we will surely find a way to make Russia respect international law – President

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is convinced that a mechanism will be found to make Russia responsible for its actions. The Head of State called Turkey one of the partners who can help achieve this goal.

“Together, we will surely find a way to make Russia respect international law, return peace and stability in the region, protect the rights and freedoms of the Crimean Tatars and liberate the political prisoners of the Kremlin,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a joint press conference with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara.

“I am convinced that Ukraine and Turkey will jointly change the situation in the Black Sea region and Crimea in our favor,” the President added “Together, we will surely find a way to make Russia respect international law – President”


The day will come when Crimea will return to Ukraine – Volodymyr Zelenskyy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed confidence that the temporarily occupied Crimea would return under the control of the Ukrainian authorities. He stated this during a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar communities of the Turkish Republic in the  framework of an official visit to Turkey.

“I know for sure that the day will come when Crimea will return to Ukraine and the united Crimean Tatar families will gather at one table. And the song “Ey Güzel Qırım” will only be heard as a long-standing memory of all the ordeal of your people. And in the future, there will be only happy dawns in your history,” the Head of State said.

Each of you is important for Ukraine – President in a meeting with representatives of Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar communities of Turkey

In Ankara, during an official visit to Turkey, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with representatives of Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar communities and took part in the opening of the new office of the Crimean Tatar Diaspora.

“It is a great pleasure to meet you here in a new hospitable house of the Crimean Tatar community. It is of particular symbolism that we have convened here as one big family. I am glad that the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar communities have a close cooperation,” the Head of State at the beginning of the meeting.

Anton Korynevych headed the working group on reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories

On 7 August 2019 pursuant to the decree of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the Law Reforming Commission was established.

The Commission includes the working group on reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories, headed by Anton Korynevych, the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The working group comprises the famous Ukrainian lawyers, human rights advocates and scientists.
