President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed confidence that the temporarily occupied Crimea would return under the control of the Ukrainian authorities. He stated this during a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar communities of the Turkish Republic in the framework of an official visit to Turkey.
“I know for sure that the day will come when Crimea will return to Ukraine and the united Crimean Tatar families will gather at one table. And the song “Ey Güzel Qırım” will only be heard as a long-standing memory of all the ordeal of your people. And in the future, there will be only happy dawns in your history,” the Head of State said.

In Ankara, during an official visit to Turkey, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with representatives of Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar communities and took part in the opening of the new office of the Crimean Tatar Diaspora.
“It is a great pleasure to meet you here in a new hospitable house of the Crimean Tatar community. It is of particular symbolism that we have convened here as one big family. I am glad that the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar communities have a close cooperation,” the Head of State at the beginning of the meeting.

On 7 August 2019 pursuant to the decree of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the Law Reforming Commission was established.
The Commission includes the working group on reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories, headed by Anton Korynevych, the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The working group comprises the famous Ukrainian lawyers, human rights advocates and scientists.
