President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with relatives and friends of Ukrainians illegally detained in the Russian Federation and held captive by pro-Russia militants in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as Crimea.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky approved the composition of delegation to the International Tribunal hearings on the Case concerning the rights of the coastal state in the Black Sea, the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Straight (Ukraine v. Russian Federation) to be held on 10-14 June 2019 in Hague, the Kingdom of Netherlands in accordance with Annex VII of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

On 29 May 2019 a round table discussion on theme: “Sightings of Crimea and current state of the cultural heritage of Ukraine” was organized by the civic organization “Crimean Center for Business and Cultural Cooperation” with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Fund in Kyiv. The discussion brought together the interlocutors from the Ministry of TOT and IDPs of Ukraine and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Mission of the President of Ukraine AR of Crimea, the Prosecutor’s Office of AR of Crimea, and experts on archeology and cultural heritage “Round table discussion: “Sightings of Crimea and current state of the cultural heritage of Ukraine””
On 23-24 May 2019 the conference “Occupied Crimea: foreign and security policies”, organized by the funds “Maidan of Foreign Affairs” and Konrad Adenauer was held in Kyiv. The interlocutors of the conference were the leadership of the Mission of the President of Ukraine in AR of Crimea, Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, Mejlis of Crimean Tartar People as well as human rights defenders. On 23 May 2019 the Head of the Department of International Connections of the Mission Yevhen Samukha was invited by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine to participate at the reception on the occasion of the 228th anniversary of the Constitution of 3rd May and 450th anniversary of the Union of Lublin “Celebration, organized to receive guests from foreign diplomatic institutions”
On 24 May 2019 the officials of the Mission attended the presentation of a book “An Ireland of anxiety: five years of detention in Crimea, organized by the Crimean human rights defenders in the Art Arsenal within IX International Festival “Book Festival”.
The book focuses on the main trends of human rights violations in the peninsula for five years of occupation by compiling a number of facts and reproduction of chronology of сeasure of Crimea “Book launch “An Ireland of anxiety: five years of detention in Crimea””
The school – leavers from the temporarily occupied Crimea can enter the universities by simplified procedure via the educational centers not passing external independent testing but using the examination results.
That is, it is NO need to pass the external independent testing, also it is NOT necessary to have the Ukrainian passport of education certificate.
It is also important that the surname of each applicant for entry from the temporarily occupied territories is encrypted “Educational Centers “Crimea is Ukraine” start their work on 3 June”
On 21 May 2019 an international conference on theme: “Improvement of legal framework, court practice and training programs regarding internal displacement”, organized by the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine took place in Kyiv. The conference, held in accordance with the Action Plan, elaborated for Ukraine by the Council of Europe for the period of 2018 – 2019 brought together the representatives of ministries, departments and agencies including the officials of the Mission of the President of Ukraine in AR of Crimea, judiciary, international organizations, lawyers, experts etc “International conference on internal displacment”
